Preparation

This pose helps in removing backache, keeping the spine flexible, alleviating constipation and is beneficial for all abdominal organs, especially the liver and kidneys. It strengthens the spine, chest, abdomen, shoulders, firming the hips and opening the heart and lungs. Let's look at the steps: Lie flat on the stomach with the chin resting on the floor, Keep the legs straight, feet together The soles of the feet facing up Place the palms next to your ears This is the starting position.

Method

Step 1

Inhale, slide the chest forward and raise the Head first, then the shoulders

Step 2

Then, straightening the elbows, arch the back

Step 3

This will lower the hips and the pelvis to the floor

Step 4

Bend the head to the back and look upward

Step 5

Hold the pose for 5 breaths

Step 6

Exhale, slowly bend the elbows, lower the chest and place the chin on the floor

Step 7

Return to the starting position

Step 8

Precautions: People suffering from peptic ulcer, hernia, intestinal tuberculosis or hyperthyroidism Recent back injuries should not practice this asana without consulting it with a doctor.
