Mixed spices (cumin, cinnamon, cardamom, bay leaf, clove, black pepper)
Turmeric 1/2 tsp (optional)
Sauté spices in half the quantity of ghee. Add washed rice n water. Let it cook.
Meanwhile, sauté veggies in half the ghee with salt.
Top the rice with the veggies.
Add garam masala and cover for minutes.
Serve hot with plain dahi or raita.
