50g raw moong dal 100g pumpkin (raw, diced) 1 medium onion (finely chopped ~80g) 5 ml ghee 5g ginger-garlic paste 150 ml cow milk Haldi (turmeric) Sendha/regular salt as per taste Black pepper (freshly crushed) Water as required
οΈβ£ Wash and soak moong dal for β minutes (optional but improves texture). οΈβ£ Heat ghee in a pressure cooker. Add onion and sautΓ© until soft. οΈβ£ Add ginger-garlic paste. Cook for seconds. οΈβ£ Add pumpkin cubes and sautΓ© β minutes. οΈβ£ Add soaked dal, turmeric, salt and water. Pressure cook for β whistles. οΈβ£ Once pressure releases, blend the mixture until smooth and creamy. οΈβ£ Return to flame. Add milk and simmer for β minutes. οΈβ£ Adjust consistency if needed. Finish with freshly crushed black pepper. Serve hot. Thick. Comforting. π
