Chicken on the bone cut into bite sized 800 grams Garam masala powder 1½ teaspoons Oil 1 tablespoon Cinnamon ½ inch Green cardamoms 2-3 Cloves 3-4 Onions grated2 medium Ginger paste 1 teaspoon Garlic paste 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder ½ teaspoon Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon Cumin powder 1 teaspoon Coriander powder 2 teaspoons Tomato puree 2 cups Salt to taste Fresh coriander leaves chopped, 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder 1½ teaspoons
Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add cinnamon, cardamoms and cloves and sauté till fragrant. Add onions and sauté till well-browned. Add ginger paste and garlic paste, mix well and sauté for ½ minute. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and a little water, mix well and sauté for minute. Add tomato puree, mix and add salt. Mix again and cook till oil separates. Add chicken pieces, salt, tablespoon coriander leaves, mix well and add garam masala powder. Mix well, cover and cook on medium heat for minutes. Garnish with remaining coriander leaves and serve hot
