Preparation

Burpees are a full body bodyweight exercise that can be done by itself or as part of a circuit. It involves a large number of muscles such as the glutes, quads, hamstrings, calves and muscles in the upper body as well. Stand straight with your feet shoulder-width apart, bend your knees and lower your body. Place your palms flat on the floor, as if you’re about to do a push-up.

Method

Step 1

Now, using your arms for support, jump back and stretch your legs

Step 2

Place your toes on the floor

Step 3

Your body should be in a straight line with only your palms and feet touching the floor

Step 4

Now, bend your elbows and lower your chest to the floor to do a push-up

Step 5

Straighten your arms and jump back in with your feet

Step 6

Straighten your legs and jump up with your arms above your head

Step 7

You can start slow with this exercise and gradually increase the speed at which you perform it

Step 8

Repeat the exercise for the desired number of reps.
