150 gms Prawns
100 gms Bitter Gourd
100 gms Onion
100 gms Tomato (Optional)
Turmeric Powder, Chilly Powder, Salt
Fresh Coriander
8 gms Ghee
4-5 Peppers, 4-5 Cloves, 1 Black Cardamom, 1/2 inch Cinnamon, 1 Bay Leaf
4-5 Garlic Cloves, 2-3 Green Chillies
Peel bitter guord skin and cut it in between to create pocket for stuffing
Marinate with salt and keep it aside for mins
mins later drain access water and wash off the salt, this reduces bitterness
Heat one pan and sauté all the whole spices in ghee
Add garlic and chillies till aroma develops
Add onions and cook till it’s translucent
Once everything is mixed add prawns and cook it for mins
Add chopped fresh coriander and mix it well
Let it cool for sometime and then fill this mixture in the pockets created, if requires tie the pockets using thread so the mixture doesn’t come out
And cook this on low flame for - mins for each side depending on the size of bitter guord
Serve with hot rice or roti
Note: ) Tomatoes can be added after onion is cooked ) Remove the whole spices in case you don’t like them while stuffing
