shrimp : 150 gms
all purpose flour : 50 gms
oil : 5 gms
soya sauce : 15ml
lots of garlic
spring onion : 4/5 strands
onion : 1 small
cilantro: as per choice (can be skipped)
salt and black pepper
clean shrimp, remove tail and de-vain. Add it in a mixer and mince to a coarse consistency
chop onions, garlic, spring onion and cilantro finely
mix shrimp to above chopped veggies and add salt and pepper as per taste. then add soya sauce and mix well
heat ml oil and add it to the shrimp mixture, mix it well (u can totally skip this step if you want to save the fat)
For dough : mix all purpose flour with little salt and water to form a soft dough. rest it for hour
after an hour make small balls from the dough and roll them in shape of puris or small circles
fill the puris with shrimp stuffing and close them in any desired shape.. The one i have made is by pinching one side of the circle and then pressing it together (so hard to understand without a video)
after stuffing all the dumplings, steam them in a steamer or in any other way for mins.. I don’t have a steamer so i use a pot filled with water, bring it to boil, put a sieve on it and put dumplings on the sieve and cover with a lid..
You dumplings are ready to serve. serve them with any chutney that fits your macros.
P.S. I have tried these with chicken kheema and i have also tried a vegetarian option with only grated cabbage, carrots instead of the meat.. both work equally good but shrimp ones are the best!
