White Peas (Matra) - 100g
Mint Leaves - 3/4 cup
Cumin seeds, Black Cardamom, Fennel seeds - 1tsp each
Dry Red Chili - 2
Hing - a pinch
Black Salt - according to taste
While black Pepper - 5-6
Amchur powder - 1/2 tsp
Tamarind - 1 tbsp
Chaat Masala, Red chili powder, Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp each
Soak White peas overnight
Drain and add water and salt and pressure cook on high for ten mins and then slow flame for mins
Prepare the mint chutney with mint keaves, some water, cumin seeds, fennel seeds, black cardamom, amchur pd, dry Red chili, hi g, Black Salt and tamarind
Add it to boiled matra and cook for ten mins
Add Chaat masala, Red chili powder and Garam Masala
Serve hot with chopped onions, tomatoes, jullliened ginger and bread of your choice.
