Tender coconut - 50g
Jaggery - 15g
Rice flour - 50g
Soya flour - 15g
Milk - 30ml
Ghee - 5g
Salt
Cardamom - 1
Grate the tender coconut and roast until brown.
Switch off the flame and add jaggery slowly and mix well until jaggery melts.
Add the cardamom powder and keep it aside.
Take the rice and soya flour in a mixing bowl. Add a pinch of salt, - drops of ghee and milk and bind the flour into dough just like chapati.
Steam the dough for about - minutes in a steamer. Keep a Muslim cloth under the dough in the container to avoid it to stick to the container.
Take the dough off the steamer and knead it again for about - minutes until nice and soft.
Make equal balls from the dough and roll each of them into a small puri. Use a parchment paper and a drop of ghee on the ball before rolling it.
Make a modak shape(you may go to YouTube and go through a recipe on how to roll a modak). Fill in the coconut filling and close it.
Steam the modaks just the way, we steamed the dough in the beginning.
Remove the modaks from the steam and serve as needed😃
