MTR Rava Idli Mix - 1 cup (150 gms)
Shredded Coconut - 150 gms
Curd - 1.5 cups (120 + 240 gms) for idli
Coriander - 1/2 cup
Curd - 1/2 cup (120 gms) for chutney
Ghee - 6 gms
Green Chilli - 2
Curry leaves - 8
Rai and Salt
Take MTR Idli mix and mix it with half cup ( gms) sour curd and set the mixture aside for one minute
After a minute, add more cup ( gms) sour curd to the mixture and mix well. Set aside for minutes. After this, you should get good consistency of Idli material
Put the idli batter into a Idli cooker ( compartments of idlis) and distribute the material equally in each Idli holder. Put water in lower compartment of Idli cooker and put it on medium flame for - minutes. To check if Idli is cooked, put a clean knife inside the idli and take out. If knife comes out clean means the idli is cooked. If not continue cooking more in the idli cooker.
While the idli are being made in cooker, we will make coconut chutney
Put Shredded Coconut, Coriander, Chillies, gms curd, Salt and / cup water in a mixer and mix all properly. Take out the chutney mixture in a bowl
Take a small pan and add ghee to it. Once heated, add Rai. As Rai crackles add Curry leaves and saute for about seconds.
Put the tadka of curry leaves and Rai on top of chutney mixture and mix well.
By this time, idlis must be ready Enjoy the Idli with this easy to make home made coconut chutney
