Carrots shredded - 400 g
Jaggery - 20 grams (you can add more later if you want more sweetness)
Milk - 200 Ml
Almonds - 20 g
Dates - 30 g
Ghee - 1 tbsp
2 cardamom, 1 stick cinnamon
Shred the carrots finely.
Make a paste out of the dates using some of the milk we used in the recipe (don't add water). Make a powder out of cinnamon and cardamom.
To a pressure cooker add the carrots, jaggery, date paste, milk, ghee & cinnamon and cardamom powder.
Let it run on medium low heat for minutes.
Depressurize the cooker, open the lid and mix all the ingredients well. Dry out any excess water and milk.
Let it cool, top it with the almonds and enjoy the warm and delicious halwa!!
