Preparation to make Chicken Dum Biryani recipe: . Soak the rice for - mins in water and keep it aside. . Add cups of water in a vessel and bring it to boil. . Add Bay Leaf, Cloves, Cardamom and Shahi Jeera. . Add Salt as per taste once the water starts boiling. . After - mins add the drained rice to the boiling water and cook until % done. Making Gravy for Chicken Dum Biryani: . In a pot add ghee and fry the onions until golden brown. . Keep it aside and use the same pot for the next step. . In the same pot take /th of the fried onions and add Star Anise, Cardamom, Cloves, Bay Leaf, Shahi Jeera and Ginger Garlic paste . Saute it for mins until the raw smell of ginger garlic paste goes off. . Add the chicken and saute it until the chicken turns white. . Add Biryani masala(homemade), green chillies, chicken masala and salt as per taste. . Mix everything well and cook it for mins and add the curd and mix it again. . Cover and cook the chicken for few more minutes until the chicken turns soft and tender. . Add coriander leaves and pudina leaves once the chicken is ready. It's time for the Dum: . In a pot add the chicken gravy and layer it with rice. . Now add the remaining /th of the onions, coriander leaves and pudina leaves on top of the rice. . Close the lid and make sure the air/steam doesn't come out. . Cook it for - minutes on low flame and then leave it for - mins just like that. After the minutes your Aromatic Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biryani is ready to serve.
