Wash and soak dal for half an hour.
Give it pressure in a the pressure cooker with some water.
For the tampering..To the oil add red chilli and chopped garlic and onion.
Saute it and add chopped tomatoes and let it cook for min
Add chopped spinach and add salt and termeric powder and cook it on slow flame.
Once spinach is soft and done ,add cooked dal and give it a boil.
Serve it with rice / chapati.
