Rinse both rice & soya in water for - mins
Size of the chunks would increase to almost twice and drain them of the excess water
Heat oil in a non-stick pan and add spices as required (cumin/bay leaves). Can add onion, chillies as per preference and let it saute. Add some peas,carrots.
Post draining water from soya/rice, add them to the pan and saute over a couple of minutes.
Add some water and salt, keep the lid closed. Use medium flame.
Turn off the flame after minutes and keep it over hot top for - mins.
