1. Chickpeas - 120 gms 2. Salt as per taste 3. Sesame seeds - 10 gms 4. Virgin Olive Oil - 10 gms 5. Garlic - 4 to 5 cloves 6. Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Rinse gms chickpeas in water first and then soak in enough water overnight or for to hours. . Pressure cook the chickpeas by adding ½ teaspoon salt, and . cups water. . Mash the cooked chickpeas with a spoon. . Dry roast gms sesame seeds in a small pan. . In a mixer-grinder, take the roasted sesame seeds and powder it to a fine texture. . Add teaspoon chopped garlic, to tablespoons lemon juice, gms extra virgin olive oil, teaspoon cumin powder and salt as per taste and grind to a fine or semi-fine consistency. . Next add the cooked chickpeas and grind till smooth and light by adding to tablespoons of water. . Enjoy it with warm pita bread or with steamed or roasted veggies.
