▪ 300 gm green toor
▪ 2 cloves of garlic
▪ 4 green chilies
▪ 600 ml water
▪ 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
▪ 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
▪ 150 gm tomatoes
▪ 150 gm onion
▪ 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
▪ chopped coriander leaves
▪ lemon
▪ salt
❒ Add a small amount of oil to a pan and stir fry toor, garlic, and green chillies till they turn brownish.
❒ Let the mixture cool down. Add some water and make a paste using a grinder.
❒ Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard, and cumin seeds, and let them splutter.
❒ Add chopped onion. Sauté until onions become translucent.
❒ Add turmeric, tomatoes, and a little salt. Sauté until tomatoes are cooked.
❒ Add the prepared toor dal paste along with some water. Add salt and mix it well. Cover with the lid and let it simmer for - minutes. Keep stirring it in between. Add water if required as per the desired consistency.
❒ Turn off the flame. Squeeze some lemon and add coriander leaves.
❒ Enjoy with rice or roti.
