Ingredients

Fish(Katla): 500 gm Potato: 400 gm oil: 40 gm, Onion: 2 medium, green chillies: 3, tomato, ginger, garlic. Masala: Jeera, kala jeera, Methi, chilli powder, haldi powder, salt to taste.

Method

Step 1

In a non sticky pan, put some oil and fry the Potatoes and keep it aside. On a low flame, add some oil and slow fry the fish. You can also use an air fryer to get the fish ready, if your oil alloted is lesser. In the pan, add some oil and pit in jeera, kala jeera, Methi. Let this fry for a couple of seconds. Now add a green chilly and again fry that for a couple of seconds. After this add a pre prepared paste of onion, tomato, green chillies, ginger and garlic to the pan and cook this for a while. Once the masala is mostly cooked, add the fried fish and add some salt. Add chilly powder and haldi powder and also add some oil if required. Let the Fish, cook in the masala for some time and post this add the fried Potatoes. Once this cooks for a while, add some water as per the gravy requirement and check to adjust the salt. Let this cook for some time and once you are happy with the consistency of the gravy, you can switch of the gas and the recipe would be ready to serve. Servings.
