Ingredients

rice 70gm

soaked toor dal 40gm

chopped carrots 40 gm, capsicum 40 gm, tomato 40 gm

chopped cauliflower 40 gm, matar 40 gm

bisibele bhat masala 1 tbsp

oil, mustard seed, cumin seeds

asafoetida, curry leaves

tamarind pulp 2 tbsp

salt 2 tsp, water

chopped coriander

Method

Step 1

In a pressure cooker, combine rice, toor dal, and chopped vegetables. Add a pinch of turmeric, salt, and enough water. Pressure cook until everything is tender and well-cooked.

Step 2

In a separate pan, heat some oil. Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, asafoetida, and curry leaves.

Step 3

To the tempering, add tamarind pulp and bisibele bhat powder. Mix well.

Step 4

Add the tempering mixture to the cooked rice and dal. Stir thoroughly to combine all the flavors.

Step 5

Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving. Enjoy your bisibele bhat!
