In a pressure cooker, combine rice, toor dal, and chopped vegetables. Add a pinch of turmeric, salt, and enough water. Pressure cook until everything is tender and well-cooked.
In a separate pan, heat some oil. Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, asafoetida, and curry leaves.
To the tempering, add tamarind pulp and bisibele bhat powder. Mix well.
Add the tempering mixture to the cooked rice and dal. Stir thoroughly to combine all the flavors.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving. Enjoy your bisibele bhat!
