Ingredients : Rice flour 120g Water 130g Shredded coconut 50g Jaggery 25g Ghee 5g
Steps : • Heat the water • Add a pinch of salt for flavour • Add rice flour and mix for minutes • Turn the flame off, put a lid on and let the mixture cool down • Knead it into a dough and make equal balls • Add shredded coconut & jaggery in a pan and sauté it on ghee • Add a pinch of cardamom powder for flavour • Make equal portions of the filling mixture ( सारण ) • Flatten out the dough ball into a roti & place the mixture in the centre • Close the edges of the dough mixture and twist it gently to give it a modak like shape • Add few strands of boiled saffron as a garnish if you like
