Ingredients for Soya Upma
- › Ingredients - Soya nuggets (as per macros). Ghee 5 gm Mustard seeds, Asafoetida, Green chillies, Curry leaves, pinch of grated ginger for tempering. Salt, pinch of turmeric, red chilli powder, jeera powder, chaat masala - as per taste Mixed vegetables as per choice ( onion, tomatoes, spinach, capsicum, carrots, etc) Water - twice the quantity of soya powder ( 2 cups of water for 1 cup soya powder) Coriander leaves and a dash of lime
Method
1. Method Dry roast Soya and let it cool. Grind it to a powder. On medium heat add ghee and the mustard seeds and let it splutter. Then add rest of the tempering and masala. Roast for a couple of seconds and add vegetables of your choice. Cover the vessel and let the vegetables cook for 2-3 minutes, you can sprinkle a tsp of water to avoid burning. Add the Soya powder to this and roast for a minute. Add double the amount of water( 2 cups water for 1 cup soya) and cover. Let this cook for 5 minutes or so (depending on the quantity). You can add more water and adjust the consistency according to your choice. Serve hot with some chopped coriander leaves and a dash of lime. Add a few drops of ghee here if your macros allow.
