Ingredients for Mixed Dal
- › Mixed dal: 50 gm
- › Ginger-garlic paste: 5 gm
- › Turmeric powder: 3 gm
- › Mustard seeds: 1 gm
- › Coriander powder: 3 gm
- › Cumin powder: 3 gm
- › Onion: 30 gm
- › Chilli: 2
- › Oil: 5 ml
- › Bay leaf: 1
- › Tomato: 30 gm
- › Red chillies: 2
- › Coriander leaves: For garnishing
Method
1. 1. Soak the dal a night prior.
2. 2. Cook the dal in a cooker for 7-8 whistles.
3. 3. Heat the oil in the vessel.
4. 4. Put the dry chillies, bay leaf and mustard seeds. Fry the ginger-garlic paste, chillies, tomatoes and onions.
5. 5. Add the spices and stir for 4-5 minutes.
6. 6. Add the dal.
7. 7. Now close with the lid and let it cook for 10 minutes.
8. 8. Garnish with coriander leaves.
9. 9. Serve hot with phulka/rice.
