Ingredients for Hummus and Pita
- › chickpeas
- › olive oil
- › wheat flour and refined flour
- › lemon
- › garlic
Method
1. soak chickpeas overnight
2. boil chickpeas until cooked, takes 6 whistles in a pressure cooker
3. Put in grinder and mix to get a fine paste- chickpeas, 3 tsp curd, 1tbs olive oil, squeeze half lemon, salt to taste, 4 cloves of garlic, half glass water
4. use 3 part wheat flour and 1 part maida to make small rotis. thats your pita bread. bake on pan/tava . no oil needed
5. garnish hummus with oregano and chilli flakes (optional). garnish pita bread with chia seeds (optional). you can drizzle olive oil over hummes, tastes yummmy but it will increase your calories
