Ingredients for Green Toor Amti/ Turichya danyachi amti
- › ▪ 20 gm oil
- › ▪ 300 gm green toor
- › ▪ 2 cloves of garlic
- › ▪ 4 green chilies
- › ▪ 600 ml water
- › ▪ 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- › ▪ 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- › ▪ 150 gm tomatoes
- › ▪ 150 gm onion
- › ▪ 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- › ▪ chopped coriander leaves
- › ▪ lemon
- › ▪ salt
Method
1. ❒ Add a small amount of oil to a pan and stir fry toor, garlic, and green chillies till they turn brownish.
2. ❒ Let the mixture cool down. Add some water and make a paste using a grinder.
3. ❒ Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard, and cumin seeds, and let them splutter.
4. ❒ Add chopped onion. Sauté until onions become translucent.
5. ❒ Add turmeric, tomatoes, and a little salt. Sauté until tomatoes are cooked.
6. ❒ Add the prepared toor dal paste along with some water. Add salt and mix it well. Cover with the lid and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes. Keep stirring it in between. Add water if required as per the desired consistency.
7. ❒ Turn off the flame. Squeeze some lemon and add coriander leaves.
8. ❒ Enjoy with rice or roti.
