Ingredients for Dal Mooli
- › 100g yellow mung dal washed and soaked
- › 150g radish leaves
- › 1 medium tomato
- › 1-2 green chilies
- › Ginger small piece
- › Asofoetida 1/4 tsp
- › Turmeric 1/2 tsp
- › Salt 1tsp or to taste
- › 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- › 1tsp Lemon juice for garnish
- › 10ml oil
- › 1/2 tsp jeera
- › 500ml water
Method
1. Wash and chop radish leaves
2. Make paste of tomato, green chili and ginger
3. Heat a pressure cooker add oil, jeera and hing.
4. Add tomato paste, turmeric, red chili powder, salt and cook for a minute
5. Add radish leaves and cook for 1-2 minutes
6. Add mung dal and water and close the pressure cooker. Cook fir 2 whistles or simmer on low for 10mins
7. Once cooked add lemon juice and serve with rice or roti/chapati
