Black Gram (Urad Dal)- 100 gms
Spinach Leaves- 200 gms
Tomatoes- 200 gms
Green chillies chopped- 10 gms
Oil- 15 gms
Garam Masala- 5 gm
Onion chopped - 100 gms
Ginger chopped – 5 gms
Garlic chopped – 5 gms
Red chilli powder- 5 gms
Coriander leaves- 100 gms
Turmeric powder( Haldi)- 5 gm
Asafoetida(Hing)- 2.5 gms
Soak dal in water for to hours. Grind adrak, lahsun, onion and green chillies finely. Add haldi, green chilli powder and hing to it.
Heat oil in a pan. Fry the ground masala till oil separates.
Add salt and tomatoes and fry for - minutes. Add soaked dal and cups of water. Let it boil for - minutes. Add Paalak.
When dal is cooked and thickens, add garam masala and hara dhania and remove the pan from heat. Serve hot.
