Combine rawa, curd and salt in a mixing bowl and mix well to form lump free paste.
Add some water as required to make thick batter. Keep batter aside.
In a kadai, heat gm oil and add some onion, green chilli and ginger to it.
Saute it and then transfer it to the batter.
Rest for mins. Add baking soda just before preparing appe.
Heat appe pan and add few drops of remaining oil.
Fill the holes with batter. Cover and simmer until appe gets cooked slightly.
Once base turns golden, flip appe with the spoon and cook on low flame until it turns golden brown.
Finally, have appe with chutney.
