How to make Ukadicha modak

Step-1

Boil 50 ml water with a pinch of salt, Add 25 g rice flour, mix & keep covered ,

Step-2

To finely shredded cabbage apply pinch of salt , it will start leaving water, squeeze water ,this will remove typical smell of cabbage

Step-3

Brush 1/4 tsp of ghee on non stick pan Add cabbage,stir fry on slow flame ,after it cooks a little & dry , add coconut & grated paneer , remove from heat

Step-4

Let it cool Add whey , cardamom powder, nutmeg powder

Step-5

Keep water boiling with sieve Apply little ghee or keep banana or turmeric leaf( this is for steaming modak)

Step-6

Now knead rice flour lightly ( 25 g gives 65 g )

Step-7

Make 5 balls &roll modak with stuffing of whey cabbage mixture

Step-8

Steam on sieve or in steamer for 10 mins Enjoy!!!
