How to make Stuffed Bitter Guord with Prawns

Step-1

Peel bitter guord skin and cut it in between to create pocket for stuffing

Step-2

Marinate with salt and keep it aside for 10 mins

Step-3

10 mins later drain access water and wash off the salt, this reduces bitterness

Step-4

Heat one pan and sauté all the whole spices in ghee

Step-5

Add garlic and chillies till aroma develops

Step-6

Add onions and cook till it’s translucent

Step-7

Once everything is mixed add prawns and cook it for 10 mins

Step-8

Add chopped fresh coriander and mix it well

Step-9

Let it cool for sometime and then fill this mixture in the pockets created, if requires tie the pockets using thread so the mixture doesn’t come out

Step-10

And cook this on low flame for 5-10 mins for each side depending on the size of bitter guord

Serve with hot rice or roti

Note: 1) Tomatoes can be added after onion is cooked 2) Remove the whole spices in case you don’t like them while stuffing
