Ingredients

  • Recipe Ingredients listSoy bean whole 100 grams ( soaked for 5-6 hours)
  • Recipe Ingredients listSoya vadi ( nuggets) .. 50 grams soaked for 20 minutes and squeezed well
  • Recipe Ingredients listMustard oil 20 grams
  • Recipe Ingredients listOnions 50 grams
  • Recipe Ingredients listTomatoes 100 grams
  • Recipe Ingredients listGinger 1/2 inch and garlic 3-4 cloves
  • Recipe Ingredients listGreen chillies ( as per taste)
  • Recipe Ingredients listSalt , turmeric, garam masala , Kashmiri chilli powder each 10 grams

Direction

Step-1

In a blender jar add soy beans , 30 ml of water and grind well

Step-2

Take it out in a bowl and now in the same grinder jar , grind soy nuggets for 30 seconds

Step-3

Mix both the soy paste together, add salt , coriander to the paste and mix well

Step-4

Grease and heat a panniyaram pan , pour the soy paste gently in moulds and cook well for 3 minutes each sides on medium to low flame

Step-5

Heat oil in a pan , make paste of the onion , tomatoes , chilli, garlic and ginger in a blender. And add the purée to hot oil

Step-6

Now add all the spices and salt and roast the masala till brown in colour . Add 3 cups of water

Step-7

Once it starts boiling , change the flame to medium to low and add koftas . Cook for another 10-12 minutes covered and serve hot
