Red Lentils Stew
- Red lentils/masoor whole - 60gm
- Olive oil - 5gm
- Onion- 20gm
- Tomato - 100gm
- Ginger - 5gm
- Garlic - 5gm
- Dry spices - salt, black pepper powder, red chilly powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, oregano
- Lond beans(Guar) - 30gm
Soak the lentils overnight or atleast one hour prior to cooking.
Boil the lentils adding 2 cups of water salt until they’re half cooked and keep it aside.
In a pan, add olive oil, chopped onion and saute it for a minute. Then, add ginger garlic paste and saute for another minute. Add the chopped tomatoes as well and add the 2 tbsp stock of lentil from the above step. And cook it for 2 minutes. Add all dry spices and pieces of lond beans and saute for another minute.
In a mixer, grind half of the lentils and add this paste to the pan and bring it to simmer. Then, add remaining lentils and a cup of water if required and cover the lid. Let it cook for about 15 to 20 minutes. Enjoy 😋
