How to make Muthiya
Step-1
Mix all the above ingredients and knead it into a soft dough. Sprinkle some water if required.
Step-2
Now divide the dough in 2-3 equal parts and make rolls of approx 5 inches long and 2 inch in diameter. Take a steamer tray with holes in it. Greese the tray with oil/ghee and arrange the rolls.
Step-3
Prepare steamer with an inch of water and let it come to boil. Steam the rolls for 20mins on medium flame. Check with a tooth pick if it's properly cooked. Let it cool to room temperature.
Step-4
Now cut the rolls into small pieces of about half inch and keep them aside.
Step-5
For Seasoning: Take ghee in a pan, add mustard seeds, jeera and curry leaves.
Step-6
Now add the rolls to the seasoning and mix gently. Add corriander leaves, grated coconut and some seasome seeds for garnishing. Serve hot with corriander chutney...
