How to make moong dal chillas
Wash and soak the dal overnight.
Put the soaked dal with all the ingredients in a mixer grinder. Add a bit of water.
Grind to a smooth paste. add water bit by bit if required. The batter consistency is like that of a dosa batter.
Heat oil in a nonstick pan.
Add about 1/3 of the batter and spread evenly.
Patiently cook for a good 2 to 3 mins on medium flame.
Flip over and cook for another 2 to 3 mins.
Makes 3 medium sized chillas.
Goes best with curd.
