How to make Matta Rice with spinach chicken curry

Step-1

Blanche the spinach and grind it into a smooth paste

Step-2

In a pan, add the oil , add cumin seeds, chopped onion, ginger, garlic and chilli

Step-3

Once the onion turns brown , add masala and cook until the raw masala smell is gone

Step-4

Add chicken pieces and mix it with the masala and close and cook for 10 mins in medium flame

Step-5

Add the spinach paste, salt and water as per requirement and cook for another 10 mins in sim flame

Step-6

For Matta rice: wash and then soak the Matta rice in water for 1/2 hr. In cooker, add water upto 3/4th of the cooker and keep it for boiling. Add the soaked rice and keep it in cooker for 8-9 whistles. Close and keep till the steam is gone . After that, drain the water completely in a filter and use only the rice.
