Butter, softened: 30 gm

Sugar: 35 gm

Eggs: 2

All-purpose flour: 200 gm

Baking powder: 15 gm

Salt: A pinch

Raisins: 80 gm

Milk: 250 gm

Maple syrup: 350 gm

Whipped cream or ice cream, optional

Method

Step 1

In a bowl, cream butter and sugar.

Step 2

Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Step 3

Combine flour, baking powder, salt and raisins; add alternately with milk to creamed mixture.

Step 4

In a small saucepan, bring syrup to a boil; pour into a greased -/-quarter baking dish.

Step 5

Pour batter over hot syrup; do not stir.

Step 6

Bake, uncovered, at ub for - minutes.

Step 7
