Ingredients

  • Recipe Ingredients list2 Cups Bite size paneer - cottage cheese cubes
  • Recipe Ingredients list1cups plain Greek Yogurt - you can use any thick Yogurt

  • Recipe Ingredients list1 Large onion
  • Recipe Ingredients list4 cloves Garlic
  • Recipe Ingredients list1/2 inch ginger piece
  • Recipe Ingredients list2 Large onions - thinly sliced

  • Recipe Ingredients list2 tbsp ketchup
  • Recipe Ingredients list1 tbsp Dry Kasuri Methi - optional

Direction

Step-1

Prep Work: Step1 . Add onion, ginger, garlic, in a grinder jar and paste to form a smooth paste. Keep Aside

Step-2

Make the Achari spice Mix: Step2 . Add all the spices ( whole + Powdered ) in a grinder jar and pulse.

Step-3

Make a smooth Powder and keep aside.

Step-4

Step1 . Heat oil in a large non- stick pot.

Step-5

Step2 . Add the onion paste and saute for 3 -4 minutes over medium heat ( stir every half minutes ). The onions should turn golden.

Step-6

Step3 . Now add the sliced onion, achari spice mix and saute for 2 minutes ( till sauteed onions are pink )

Step4 . Now add the tomato, ketchup and saute for another 2 minutes ( stir to make sure tomato paste evenly spreads in the mix ).

Step5 . Add yogurt and mix everything.

Step-9

Step6 . Cover and cook this for 3 minutes on medium heat ( stir every half minute ).

Step-10

Step7 . Remove the cover and the masala would be bubbling hot.

Step-11

Step8 . Add the cubed paneer ans saute.

Step-12

Step9 . Let this simmer for 2 minutes.

Step10 . Turn off the heat.

Step-14

Step11 . Transfer to serving plater and sprinkle some chopped cilantro on top.

Step12 . Serve hot and enjoy.
