Chicken Bottle-gourd curry
- Chicken boneless- 100gm
- Bottle gourd - 300gm
- Olive oil- 10gm
- Onion- 50gm
- ginger- 5gm
- garlic - 5gm
- Green chilly - 1
- fenugreek leaves (fresh) - 100gm
- turmeric powder- 0.5tsp
- Cumin powder- 0.5tsp
- Coriander powder- 1 tsp
- salt & pepper powder- as per the taste.
- Cardamom & clove - 1
Marinate the chicken with ginger, garlic and chilly paste for about 15 minutes.
In a skillet, add oil, cardamom and clove and heat it slightly. Thereafter, grind the onion in a mixer and add it to the oil. Let it saute until it becomes translucent
Add all the dry spices and saute for about 4 minutes. Then, add chicken and little water and let the chicken become tender.
Remove the skin of bottle gourd and cut it into cubes and add this to curry along with chopped fenugreek leaves.
Add some water,cover the lid and let all cook until the chicken and bottlegourd become tender.
Enjoy it with plain rice!
