How to make Badam ka Halwa (Almond Dessert)
Step-1
Soak together 10gms almonds and 10gms poppy seeds overnight in water.
Step-2
Peel of almonds skin and filter out all the water ( use tea- filtering sieve/chhalni since poppy seeds are very small)
Step-3
Blend them nicely by adding small amount of water till it becomes a smooth white paste. ( you might have to blend multiple times)
Step-4
Add 5gms of ghee in a pan on the stove on medium flame, and then add the above paste.
Step-5
(Very imp)Keep stirring the mixture continuously( else it will stick to the pan) for about 15-20min or till it becomes golden and dry.
Step-6
Add 30-40ml water and again let the mix dry. Keep stirring from time to time
Step-7
Add 80-100 ml of milk and let the mix cook( you can increase the gas flame a bit) Keep stirring from time to time.
Step-8
When you see the mix is shrinking, add 7-8gms sugar and stir.
Step-9
Add a pinch of cardamom powder at the end for better taste. Serve hot:)
