Sindhi Gicho (Dal Rice Combo)
50 gms rice 30 gms tur dal 1 onion 1 tomato 1 tsp cumin seeds 1 tsp ginger garlic paste 1 tsp red chilli powder 1 tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp coriander powder 1 tsp garam masala powder few kokam flowers salt as per taste 4 tsp ghee 1 cup water soak rice & Dal together in water for 30 mins. take a pressure cooker. add ghee & cumin seeds. allow to crackle.add onion & cook it till golden. add tomato, ginger garlic paste, salt, water & spices. add kokam & give a boil for 5 mins. pressure cook for 2 whistles. serve hot with cold curd.
