50 gms rice 50 gms dal 1 onion 1 tomato 1 tsp cumin seeds 2 tsp ghee 1 tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp coriander powder 1 tsp red chilli powder 1 tsp ginger garlic paste 1 tsp garam masala powder few coriander leaves salt as per taste water as required Idli : soak 50 gm rice overnight. grind rice with salt & little water into a smooth batter. steam idlis for 12 mins in am idli maker by applying little ghee at the base. Sambhar : soak 50 gms tur dal for 30 mins in water. take a pan. add ghee. add cumin seeds. let them crackle. add onion. cook till transparent. add tomato. add salt & dry spices. add soaked dal, a pinch of hing & little water. add coriander leaves & serve.
