Jhanjanit Misal - Macros Anusar Ingredients 10 ml ghee 100 gms mixed sprouts 1 spoon peanuts 100 gm patato chopped in cubes 7 minced garlic 1 onion finely chopped 1 tamato finely chopped 1 spn coriander leaves chopped 1/4th spn turmeric powder 1 and half spoon red chilli powder 1 spoon usal masala 1 spoon coriander powder 1/2 lemon juice Mustard seeds, cumin, curry leaves Salt to taste. Instructions Firstly, in a small cooker heat 5ml of ghee and splutter 1 tsp mustard, 1 tsp jeera and few curry leaves also add ¼ tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp chilli powder, 1 tsp coriander powder and 1 tsp usal masala. Add 4 minced garlic, half quantity of chopped onion and tamato. Saute on low flame till spices turn aromatic. Now add in mixed sprouts, lemon juice and salt. Give a good mix also add 1 mug of water. Lock the lid of the pressure cooker, bring the cooker up to pressure, and reduce heat to keep the pressure steady. Cook fr 4 whistles. For tarri - In a kadai heat remaining 5 ml ghee, mustard n cumin. Let it splutter. Add remaining quantity of minced garlic and 1 spn of red chilli powder. Saute on low flame. Now add 1 small vati of water ie approximately 50 ml of water and salt. Kindly note for tarri or for the float of ghee to come nicely on water add very less quantity of water. Bring it to boil. Now in a serving plate, take usal and top it with chopped onions, tamatoes and coriander leaves. Also pour tarri or gravy from sides. Finally, serve misal with bread and lemon wedges. P.S. - If you dont have mixed sprouts in your diet green moong will also work great. You can have this with rice/rice bhakri as well.
