It is a popular snack across India. Chickpea fritters known as Pakora also called bhajiya, bhaji, pakodi or ponako, is a fried snack. We'll not deep fry but use Paniyaram pan to cook it. I could make 8 pcs. from mentioned quantities.

Ingredients

  • listcheckBesan/ Chickpea flour: 30g
  • listcheckGhee: 10g
  • listcheckOnion: 1 small Mix veg (capsicum, cabbage, spring onions): 40g Everything finely chopped
  • listcheckGinger & green chillies: 1/2 tea spoon
  • listcheckMasale: Dhania powder, Garam masala, Amchoor, red chilli powder, haldi (to your preference)
  • listcheckSalt to taste
  • Method

  • Step-1
    Combine all the things together and form a thick batter using water. Like we do for normal bhajias (not a flowing one)
  • Step-2
    Heat and greese Paniyaram pan
  • Step-3
    Add the batter to each compartment and cook on low flame. to desired crispiness.
  • Step-4
    Serve hot with homemade green chutney
