Curd rice is a popular South Indian comfort food. Soft cooked rice is mixed with curd and tempered with mild spices. In this recipe I've added Soyabean granules and rice at 50:50 ratio.

Ingredients

  • listcheckCurd: 100g (drain excess water)
  • listcheckRice: 40g (boiled)
  • listcheckSoyabean Granules: 40g (boiled)
  • listcheckGhee: 5g
  • listcheckTempering: mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chillies, ginger (grated)
  • listcheckSalt and pepper
  • Method

  • Step-1
    In a pan add the ghee, once it heats up add mustard seeds, curry leaves, ginger and chilles. Cook for 40-50 seconds
  • Step-2
    Add boiled rice and boiled soyabean granules. Stirr and cook for 2 minutes
  • Step-3
    Add thick curd, salt and pepper and give a good mix. Do not overcook after adding curd. Just a minute will be good
  • Step-4
    It's ready to serve (Hot/Cold) to preference.
