Traditional style moong khichdi modified with quinoa instead of rice.Easy to make healthy and tasty typical "GUJJU RECIPE ".

Ingredients

  • listcheckOlive oil 15 ml
  • listcheckMoong dal 25 gms
  • listcheckCumin Seeds 1 tsp
  • listcheckTurmeric powder 1tsp
  • listcheckChilli Powder 2 tsp
  • listcheckQuinoa 50 gms
  • listcheckcurry leaves
  • listcheckAsafoetida(hing ) 1 pinch
  • listchecksalt
  • Method

  • Step-1
    Soak quinoa and moong dal for half an hour
  • Step-2
    Heat oil in pressure cooker.Add cumin seeds and allow it to crackle.
  • Step-3
    Add turmeric , chilli powder,hing, curry leaves and quinoa fry for a minute
  • Step-4
    Add 2 cups of water ,salt to taste and pressure cook for 6 whistles on medium flame.

    Serve Hot
