This can be called a kebab or patty. PS : The bun was also made from scratch but need to calculate exact macros before I can share the recipe. Will do that soon.

Ingredients

  • listcheckkala Chana 40 gms
  • listcheckoil 10ml
  • listchecklittle onion
  • listcheckspices
  • Method

  • Step-1
    Soak kala chana overnight
  • Step-2
    boil the chana and discard the water
  • Step-3
    heat 5ml oil and saute onions
  • Step-4
    add the boiled chana
  • Step-5
    add the spices like turmeric, aamchur powder, dhaniya powder, jeera powder, chilly powder
  • Step-6
    cool mixture and smash with hands or masher
  • Step-7
    make patty. 40 gms chana should roughly make 3/4 patties depending on size
  • Step-8
    heat remaining 5 ml oil and shallow fry the patties.
  • Step-9
    as the mixture is already cooked the shallow fry is needed only to give the brown colour.
  • Step-10
    eat it with chutney or add it to bun and enjoy the burger.
