It’s a long weekend and we can’t go out. So I decided to turn chickpeas, flour , curd , oil and vegetables in my macros into a burger. You can replace chickpeas with any daal or kidney beans

Ingredients

  • listcheckMultigrain flour -50 g
  • listcheckCurd - 40
  • listcheckBlack chick peas - 50 g ( soaked and boiled)
  • listcheckPotato - 50 g ( boiled and grated)
  • listcheckPowdered rice / rice flour - 10 g
  • listcheckOil - 5 g
  • listcheckBaking soda and powder - 1/8 tsp each
  • listcheckSalt to taste
  • listcheckChilli flakes to taste
  • listcheckVegetables of you choice
  • listcheckMayonnaise- 1 tsp ( optional)
  • Method

  • Step-1
    A) Steps for making bun -
  • Step-2
    Mix baking powder and soda in oil
  • Step-3
    Mix flour, curd , 1/4 tsp salt and above mixture. Add required water to make soft dough . Flatten the dough with fingers to make a shape of burger bun
  • Step-4
    Bake it in a preheated oven for around 18-25 min at 180 C. This time may vary based on type of flour and consistency of dough.
  • Step-5
    B) Steps for making tikki -
  • Step-6
    Grind boiled chick peas and add potato, chilli flakes, salt & rice flour. Mix everything together
  • Step-7
    Divide the dough in 2 parts
  • Step-8
    Bake them at 180 C for 8 min and then at 220 c for 6-10 min until crisp from outside
  • Step-9
    C) Get your food ready. -
  • Step-10
    Cut the bun into half and toast it for 1-2 min on a greased pan
  • Step-11
    I arranged my burger in below manner but you can do as per your choice -

    1st Bun slice - mayonnaise (optional)- tikki- vegetables- tikki - vegetables- 2nd Slice
