Aloo Tikki -an Indian street food made with fried potatoes, peas, and onion that can be easily made at home . so delicious! Aloo tikki is a very tasty dish .and a high protein food.

Ingredients

  • listcheck3 Large potatoes, peeled boiled and mashed.
  • listcheck3/4 cup frozen peas (uncooked).
  • listcheck1/2 large onion,chopped.
  • listcheck1 jalapeno pepper ,minced.
  • listcheck1 tsp. chilli powder
  • listcheck2 tsp. garam masala
  • listcheck1 tsp. cumin powder
  • listcheck1 tbsp. grated ginger
  • listcheck1 handful fresh parsley or cilantro leaves, chopped
  • listcheck2 tbsp. bread crumbs ( I used panko )
  • listcheck4 tbsp. flour
  • Method

  • Step-1
    Step1. Once the potatoes have been boiled and mashed, add in all the other ingredients.
  • Step-2
    Step2 . From into patties (You should ba able to get 8 large patties or 10 smaller ones ).
  • Step-3
    Step3 . Heat a little oil over medium- high heat and fry a few minutes on each side until golden brown. drain and coll on paper towels.
  • Step-4
    Step4 . Serve with any kind of sauce you like ( I served it with a cottage/ ricotta cheese mixture, but I imagine this would be delicious with some kind or chutney )!
