How to make & Chatpata Chana
Preparing chana Soak chana in water overnight In a pressure cooker, add the soaked chana, tea bag, salt and pressure cook it softened. Drain the water and discard the tea bag
Preparing masala Soak tamarind in hot water for 15 min. Get rid of the seeds after that In a small bowl take mix all the dry spices, turmeric powder, chilly powder, roasted cumin powder and salt. Add the spice mixer, tamarind water in the chana. Add some water (if gravy needed) and cook it for 2-4 min.
The tadka part Heat ghee. Add ajwain, cut green chilly ginger and garlic in small pieces and add in it. The add a pinch of red chilly powder. Swtch off the flame and add it in the chana.
Chatpata chana is ready!! Note: you can add ginger slices and coriander leaves for garnish. Enjoy with rice or chapati.
