Poha (flattened rice) is an Indian snack which is eaten almost everywhere in India. It is healthy & good source of carbohydrate. Generally, it is soaked in water & prepared. Poha Cake is tasty & healthy which can be prepared by anyone without any special cooking skills.

Ingredients

  • listcheckFlattened Rice/ Chiwda 50gms
  • listcheckBread 1 slice
  • listcheckRice flour / Corn flour 20gms
  • listcheckFinely chopped green chilli 3 nos
  • listcheckFinely Chopped Onion 1 medium size
  • listcheckFinely chopped coriander leaves
  • listcheckGinger garlic paste 1tsp
  • listcheckRed chilli flakes 1tsp
  • listcheckChat masala 1tsp
  • listcheckJeera powder 1tsp
  • listcheckSalt 1tsp
  • listcheckCurd 30gms
  • listcheckOil 10gms
  • Method

  • Step-1
    -Add Poha, Bread in a blender & blend it into powder form.
  • Step-2
    -Mix Cornflour, ginger garlic paste, chopped onion, green chilli & coriander leaves to the above mixture.
  • Step-3
    -Red Chilli flakes, Chaat masala, Jeera powder, Salt & Curd needs to be further added to the mixture.
  • Step-4
    -Mix the mixture well in form of a batter.
  • Step-5
    -Transfer the cake batter to a baking pan & spread it evenly.
  • Step-6
    -Defreeze it for 15 mins.
  • Step-7
    -After that take out the cake batter from the baking pan & cut it into desired shapes.
  • Step-8
    -Shallow fry all the sides till it turns golden brown. Now Poha cake is ready to serve.
