shakshouka is a dish of eggs poached in a sauce of tomatoes and vegetables.

Ingredients

  • listcheck4 Eggs
  • listcheck10ml Ghee
  • listcheck2 cup of chopped veggies ( Broccoli,spinach,Red bellpepper, mushroom)
  • listcheck2 Green chillies (chopped)
  • listcheck1Medium Onion ( finely chopped)
  • listcheck4 Tomatoes (finely chopped)
  • listcheck1 tsp Minced garlic
  • listcheckSalt to taste
  • listcheck1/4tsp Black pepper powder
  • listcheck1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  • listcheck1 tsp Coriander powder
  • listcheck1/2tsp Red chilli powder
  • Method

  • Step-1
    Heat the ghee in pan add garlic and green chillies saute it for 1 min.
  • Step-2
    Add onions and Veggies.Cook, stirring frequently until the vegetables have softened for about 5 mins.
  • Step-3
    Add Tomatoes and dry spices,simmer until the tomato mixture begins to reduce about 5-10 mins.
  • Step-4
    Using a wooden spoon make 4 indentations or wells in the tomato mixture.Gently crack the egg into each indentation.
  • Step-5
    Reduce the heat,cover the pan and cook on until the egg whites are set.
  • Step-6
    Garnish it with sliced oviles ,corns and coriander leaves.serve with pita,breads or paratha.
