My mom didn't like my previous version, which I made from soya chunks and sweetener. So, here I used soya flour, jaggery, milk and honey to get her the taste.

Ingredients

  • listcheckDefatted Soya Flour- 50gm
  • listcheckGhee- 10gm
  • listcheckCardamom seeds - 1.5 to 2 gm
  • listcheckMilk low fat- 100ml
  • listcheckAlmonds- 5gm
  • listcheckCashews- 15gm
  • listcheckJaggery- 10gm
  • listcheckHoney- 10gm
  • Method

  • Step-1
    In a skillet, add ghee and soya flour and let it roast for about 3 minutes or until it's golden brown.
  • Step-2
    Now, add cardamom seeds and chopped almonds and roast for another 2 minutes.
  • Step-3
    Then, add milk and whisk it nicely to get the thick paste and simmer for 4 minutes.
  • Step-4
    Lastly, add jaggery and honey and mix it well. One may add water if required. Let it cook for 4-5 minutes or until the halwa is set.
  • Step-5
    Garnish it with cashews and binge on!
  • Step-6
    Note: One may avoid jaggery and honey and use any zero calorie sweetener to lower the calories.
